october twenty-twenty events

While the Plateau certainly is different this October, there are still some events to know about! I’ve outlined what’s going on this month below, enjoy!

Fishes & Loaves Food Drive - On October 3rd be sure to come out and support our local food pantry and all their outstanding efforts to provide much needed support to our community members. Bring a few cans of non-pershible food and give back to those in our community who need it most!

National Angel Food Cake Day - The Cashiers Historical Society Board Members are baking up some fun on October 10th! There will be plenty of Angel Food Cake to taste, local musicians, and crafting activities in the on-site dependency. Come out and celebrate the most heavenly of desserts and enjoy the afternoon.

Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook Off - Come out and warm up on October 15th for a special “Chamber after hours” event at Landmark Realty Group featuring all the best chili on the Plateau! Please RSVP and see more details on the Chamber’s website.

Self Guided Tour of Satulah - Visit the Highlands Cashiers Land Trust’s first conserved location for a “Satulah-bration” and explore at your own pace! Download the guide here and learn about this amazing property, first conserved in 1909. As a landmark to this area, it’s one you can’t go without seeing!
